A Parish Council is a group of people who together are representing the entire parish and who plan and guide its growth. They are chosen by the parish to join with the pastor in a special service of long-range planning, the setting of parish priorities, and the implementation of programs.
The parish finance council consists of parishioners which advise the Pastor on parish finances, administration and building issues. They are consulted regarding the budgets as well as review the disclosure statements which are presented annually to the Parish. They advise the Pastor on all financial issues.
The purpose of the Fundraising Committee is to plan various events and activities may bring additional revenues back into our faith community. The Fundraising Committee meets on an as-needed basis to prepare for activities and events as they occur.
Members of the liturgy committee plan specific themes for each liturgical season, determine needs for liturgies and the liturgical environment, and check dates for special liturgies. They also review the effectiveness and needs of the liturgical ministries including altar servers, lectors, music and Eucharistic ministers. There are no elections; the committee is open to all interested parishioners.
The purpose of the property & facilities committee is for its members to inspect and survey the premises and document what changes and additions to the grounds and plant are needed.
