This past week one of our longstanding members passed away, Mrs. Cecelia Harris.  There will be a viewing of the body in our church on Friday, Jan. 19 at 5-8 PM.  The funeral Mass will be Saturday, Jan. 20th at 11 AM with a repast to follow in the parish cafeteria.  I remit Cecelia and her family to the prayers of all of us during this time of grieving.

In response to questions raised by some of our members, the parish council is sponsoring a moment of Adult Religious Education.  At the Masses on the weekend of Jan. 27-28, the homily will be spread throughout the Mass with explanations of the various parts.  Our purpose is to help everyone understand more deeply why we worship God in church and why we do it in the way we do.

On Sunday, Jan. 21st, the Knights of Columbus will sponsor one of their famous pancake breakfasts.  It will be after the 7:30 A Mass and conclude after the 10 AM Mass.  The K of C give a lot of support to our parish.  This is one way we can give back to them.  Besides, if you attend, your stomach will thank you.
