On the second weekend of September we will celebrate Hispanic heritage month.  We are celebrating the heritages that make up   part of our parish as an implementation of our mission statement.  There will be more info as the date approaches.

The Diocese of Oakland and our parish have signed a contract with the Yu Ming charter school for the rental of our school building for the next five years.  We are in the process of refurbishing our building to their needs.  They are a bilingual charter school, Mandarin Chinese and English.  Soon you may see a new basketball court in the area between the parish center and the black fence in the middle of our parking lot. Please come out and enjoy the games.

On the weekend of August 12-13, Fr. Emmanual Adams will be here to preside at the Masses and preach on behalf of a diocese in India that needs our help.  The second collection will be for his diocese.  Envelopes for this collection will be available on the previous weekend.

Italian Catholic Federation, Branch #40 is sponsoring a Bingo/Luncheon/Raffle fundraiser on Saturday, August 12th from 1:00p – 4:00p. Tickets cost $15.00 and includes lunch (pasta, green salad and dessert), no-host wine bar, and two bingo cards. Raffle tickets: $10.00 each. Prizes include gift baskets and the grand raffle prize is a 30-inch Samsung HD TV. Proceeds benefit ICF Gifts of Love and Sacred Heart Church. Families and children are welcome. The Sacred Heart Prayer Group is sponsoring a casino trip Saturday, September 23rd to Feather Falls and Cache Creek. Interested persons should contact Ben Navarra. The bus will depart Sacred Heart at 7:00 am, tickets are $30.00 per person.
