A huge thank you to the Sacred Heart Prayer Group who again sponsored another wonderful successful event in that of the 20th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima Fiesta. A lot of hard work and a job well done!
Thank you for your generous support of last week’s World Mission Sunday & Catholic Home Mission Appeal. Your contributions will help strengthen the Church at home and abroad and will help ensure that the Gospel is spread.
Today is World Mission Sunday! In announcing his decision to declare a Holy Year of Mercy, Pope Francis said, "Dear brothers and sisters, I have often thought about how the church, might male clear its mission of being a witness to mercy". Supporting the young churches throughout the world with your prayers and generous gifts is indeed a merciful witness of this mission. The collection today will help missionaries offer the poor of these areas practical help as they share the mercy of God. It will ensure the development of local diocese, and support the work of priests, religious and lay leaders who serve those on the margins and in most need. Extend your merciful witness to the whole world through your gift in today's collection for the Society for the Propagation of the Faith!
With joyful hearts we welcome Miley Josefina Soriano, the of daughter of Mark and Trang Nguyen Soriano who was baptized on Saturday, October 15, 2016 into our house of prayer to celebrate the gift of life and special faith we share.

We are grateful to the generous of these parishioners for sponsoring this program. Christmas Giving Tree forms will be available from Tamara beginning Tuesday, October 11th. All completed information forms must be in our parish office on or before Tuesday, October 18th. This deadline is set to enable the families to shop for gifts. No forms will be accepted after deadline date.
We offer our prayers and support to the Holy Name Sisters (SNJM), in the loss of their sister, Sister Margaret Campbell (SNJM), a lector and long time members of Sacred Heart. Eternal rest grant unto her Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
