“No Ifs, Ands, or Buts, God is with us…Now What?”
What does God’s presence with us really mean for us? What is its purpose? How are we to respond? How might the Mystery of this presence unfold in the routine of our daily lives? In all of this is it okay just to be me, especially when what is at stake is eternity?
Sunday Evening: “Coming to know who God really is!”
What images of God can we glean from Scripture, and how do they affect our own images (both good and bad) of God? What does it mean for us to “fear” God? How on earth can we know who God really is?
Monday Evening: “The Suffering and Death of Jesus on the Cross”
In answer to the question posed by a favorite hymn, we “Weren’t There” when Jesus died on the cross. What then do we really know and believe about his suffering and death, and how does it make a major difference in our lives?
Tuesday Evening: “God Never Stops…Loving Us”
How can Christ’s light penetrate the darkness of sin, sorrow, and death for us?
What does it mean to be “wounded” by sin? Why then do we call sin “necessary”
and “a happy fault”? Does sin ever remove us from God’s love?
(Sacrament of Reconciliation Evening)
Wednesday Evening: “Dear Lord, Bring us to Life!”
Why do Faith, Hope, and Love give meaning to life and make life worth living?
How is Faith deeper than rules, Hope more than wishful thinking, and Love stronger than feelings that come and go? Can God’s true life come through us?
